Mirage Aesthetic Pte Ltd – 

A lifelong passion in beauty and fashion prompted Ms Mika Hayashi to start Mirage Aesthetic Pte Ltd to serve the public on their beautyandbody care needs with non-invasive procedures.
Although a relatively new company, Mirage Aesthetic Pte Ltd has already built up a loyal clientele that swears by its products and services.
We caught up with Ms Hayashi and partner, Mr Sean Tan, to find out more about the company’s beginnings and future plans. 

Q: Good morning Ms Hayashi, Mr Tan, thank you so much for your time. Can you tell us more about the beginnings of MirageAesthetic Pte Ltd and the nature of your business?

A: I have always been passionate about beauty and fashion since a young age. I believe that there are no ugly people in the world, just lazypeople. My friends have been coming to me for beauty and body care advise over the years, and I thought why don’t I share my knowledgeandknow-how with a wider audience?
It is a dream for me to start Mirage Aesthetic Pte Ltd and offer good, quality beauty and body care solutions with the public. Today we provideservices in non-invasive aesthetic procedures, skin and body care solutions, hair removal and LED teeth whitening procedures.

Q: Can you share with us some of the biggest challenges in running the business?

A: This is a highly competitive industry and it is not easy to find talents with the right skillsets that have an aligned vision with what we aretryingto create. There is also a steep learning curve involved in picking up all the skills necessary to survive as an entrepreneur. It was not easytoovercome all the obstacles, but the skills I picked up and the sense of achievement I get from it are invaluable.

Q: How does Mirage Aesthetic Pte Ltd stand out from the crowd?

A: We are the first to offer a holistic botanical and herbal approach to personal wellbeing, even our treatment center’s interior is specificallybuilt
to mimic a natural botanical garden. We pride ourselves on our strong emphasis on service quality and we are constantly updated on thelatest
technological advance made in the field of aesthetic procedures.
We also aim to provide the perfect skincare solution to every one of our clients specifically customized to their individual skin type.

Q: What are some of the biggest sacrifices you have had to make on your journey so far?

A: Time is the biggest sacrifice we have had to make since we started this venture. The business is constantly on our mind and we areveryhands-on in every aspect of the business. You can say we’re ‘at work’ from the time we wake to the time we go to bed.

Q: What are your plans for Mirage Aesthetic Pte Ltd in the coming years?

A: There are plans to go regional within the next three years, and over the long term, we aim to be a recognized aesthetic center in Asia. Weare also proactively grooming a team of future leaders to take on more responsibilities and exceed customer expectations.

Q: Who or what are your inspirations or motivations?

A: Mr Lee Kuan yew’s passion for Singapore inspires me greatly. I have a collection of his biographies that I always go back to whenever I feel
in need to inspiration or motivation. He’s life and achievements made me realize the importance of having passion and vision for the things I want to achieve in my life.

Q: What are some of your core principles personally and in running Mirage Aesthetic Pte Ltd?

A: We have very stringent expectations when it comes to the standards of service and products we offer. We always put in our best effort ineverything we do, you cannot achieve greatness with half-hearted attempts. We always aim to have clients that leave our center feelingbetter
about themselves than when they walked in.

Q: How would you define success for yourself?

A: Success comes from my clients’ satisfaction. I consider myself a small success if I can help every one of my clients walk out of MirageAesthetic Pte Ltd with more confidence and feeling much better about themselves. On the business front, I would consider ourselves asuccesswhen Mirage Aesthetic brand is synonymous with aesthetic treatments.

Q: What do you enjoy most about being in the business?

A: I really enjoy the fact that I am doing what I am passionate about. It’s really heartening to see an idea become reality and see the businessgrow from day to day. I love it when my clients tell me how we have managed to help them with their issues and they feel better about
themselves because of us.

Q: Finally, what advice would you give to young aspiring entrepreneurs?

A: Starting your own business is extremely energy and time consuming. If you cannot make sacrifices and endure hardships, entrepreneurshipis not for you. You must be prepared to be hands-on every step of the way and be the problem solver for everything and everyone involvedinyour venture. Your team needs your leadership and guidance to lead them to greatness.
It is not an easy path, and it is not for everyone. But, if you can put your heart to it, and give your everything, your efforts will pay off in thelongrun as long as you stay persistent and focused.
